Frank Fama is Co‑Head of the Global Credit Investment Group and a Managing Director at Cambridge Associates.
With more than 26 years of investment experience, he leads and oversees the firm’s private credit research platform, performing due diligence on investments in direct lending opportunities, niche credit, and distressed markets, as well as monitoring investment firms and their portfolio companies.
Frank also authors research papers for the firm, including our annual Outlook thought leadership series. He is a regular guest speak at industry conferences and events.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Frank was Global Head of Leveraged Loans at State Street Corporation, where he managed a $5 billion proprietary portfolio of US dollar, euro, and sterling denominated leveraged loans. He also headed corporate credit research and established the investment platforms for investment grade corporate bonds, broadly syndicated loans, and CLOs. Prior to that, he managed leveraged credit and structuring CLO portfolios for Bain Capital/Sankaty Advisors as well as originating, structuring, and investing in loans and mezzanine debt for BankBoston.
Frank received an MBA in Finance from Pennsylvania State University and a BA in Communications from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
